5 Ways To Find College Coaches Using ‘Follow and Invite Friends Feature: Instagram Business

When using an Instagram business account, there are certainly the usual ways to find coaches. However, there is also the added benefit of being able to follow and invite your contacts from different platforms. This is extremely powerful to use with your business account, as you have a potentially large audience to sieve through, friend, and follow. It is a massive opportunity to hand-pick your target audience, and run with those that resonate with your mission. To begin finding your contacts from other platforms, you must first go to your business profile. To do this, just click on the small person icon on the bottom right of your screen. Then click on the three small lines at the top right corner of the page. Click on ‘follow and invite friends’. Now this post will give you 5 ways to find college coaches using the ‘follow and invite friends’ feature with Instagram business.

1- Invite Friends by Email:

When clicking on this option, the athlete will be asked how they would like to complete the action. Click on the preferred email platform. A ‘compose’ screen will appear where you can edit the text and choose which contacts you would like to invite. It is recommended you give permission for contact suggestion to save time. An invite will be sent to the chosen contacts. Contacts may need to install the app on their phone before they can begin following. Hint: If you already know college coaches , trainers, sports directors etc email addresses, be sure to invite them also.

On the compose screen, there are three small dots on the top right corner. This will take you to a drop down menu where you can schedule emails, add from contacts, use confidential mode, and save a draft. These are handy if wanting to catch people at a certain time in another time zone.

2- Invite Friends Via SMS

Clicking on the ‘invite friends via SMS’ option, will ask how you would like to open this option. Click on the preferred method. Tip: go through each option, as both may have different contacts and you will leverage a wider reach. Now you will be taken to a new screen to compose a message and input chosen contacts. Hint: you can send as many SMS as you like, however, you need to mindful that Facebook can limit the amount of bulk messaging you do. In this case, just message 15 contact, wait an hour, and message 15 more and so on.

3- Invite Friends and Contacts From LinkedIn

To get to this option, you will need to go to the bottom option in the ‘follow and invite friends’ tab. Click on ‘invite friends by ….’, which is located at the bottom. Now scroll down to the LinkedIn option. Tip: You will need to have the app on your device. An option will be given to either share in a post, or send in a private message. This choice is entirely up to you. Sharing in a post will give a wider reach in a shorter time period. Sending a private message can allow you to personalise the invitation. If choosing to share in a post, use hashtags to better target your audience.

4- Invite Fans and Followers on Pinterest

Again, to use this feature, one will need to have the app on their device, and have a Pinterest account of course. It’s not hard to create a Pinterest account, however, if you would like assistance in doing this, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my team or myself, and we will be more than happy to help. Send invites out to all of your contacts in every email address you own, that are relevant to your mission. Invite close friends through Instagram Direct, post an invite to your Facebook feed, Snapchat, Skype, and the list could go on and on.
